Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) Reporting Disclosure

GoFundMe prohibits posting non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) and digitally altered imagery or forgeries (“deepfakes”) in compliance with the requirements of the TAKE IT DOWN Act (“TIDA”) and our Terms of Service. 

We treat NCII as any intimate visual depictions of an identifiable individual created or shared without that individual’s consent. This includes both authentic imagery and deepfakes that depict an identifiable individual. 

NCII removal requests can be reported via this form, when users believe content on GoFundMe includes NCII. All information shared via the reporting process will be used to investigate the report itself and in accordance with our Privacy Notice. If the content doesn’t include NCII, our other reporting methods may be more appropriate.

To file a valid report, we need the following information:

• URL of the violative content, or sufficient information to find it on GoFundMe
• Your full name and email address
• Confirmation of your good faith belief that the content was published without the consent of the person depicted
• An electronic signature

Reports may be submitted by the person depicted in the NCII, or by an authorised representative acting on their behalf.

After a report is submitted, it will be reviewed by our Trust & Safety team. If we determine the report is complete and valid, we will remove the NCII within 48 hours of the submission, in line with TIDA’s requirements. We also make reasonable, industry-standard efforts to identify and remove duplicate content on GoFundMe at the time of the report. 

In addition, we encourage you to contact law enforcement officials in your area if you believe someone is breaking the law in any way.

Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors is treated as child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We take these reports incredibly seriously and handle them expeditiously. We also report all incidents of child sexual abuse and exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required by law.
